German Chocolate Cake Frosting |

Make it homemade, it's so much better than the can. This is a yummy frosting to top a German chocolate cake or plain chocolate cake. It is a traditional recipe with coconut and walnuts. Ingredients:
1 cup half-and-half |
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup white sugar |
3 egg yolks |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1 cup flaked coconut |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the half and half, butter, sugar, yolks and cornstarch. 2. Bring to a boil over medium heat. 3. Remove from the heat and stir in the coconut and walnuts. 4. Cool to room temperature before frosting cake. |
