The cake is something like bread pudding and contains just the right amount of sweetness. Delicious! Ingredients:
2 eggs |
2 cups sugar |
1 cup oil |
2 cups flour, sifted |
2 tsp cinnamon |
1 tsp baking soda |
1 tsp vanilla |
1/2 t salt |
4 cups peeled, and thinkly sliced |
1/2 cup walnuts |
sauce |
1 stick butter |
2 tbs four |
1/2 cup half & half |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup white sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. In a bowl, mix all ingredients together with a spoon–do not use a mixer. 2. Batter will be stiff. Spread into a greased and floured 9×13 inch pan. Bake for 45 minutes. 3. Sauce 4. In a saucepan, mix ingredients and boil. Serve warm sauce over the cake |
