Untried by me. Highly recommended by Dad. This was another of my Step Mother's recipes. Look forward to making it soon, seems like a very warm, homey Autumn dessert. If you get to it before me do let me know what you think! Ingredients:
3 eggs |
1 cup canola oil |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
2 cups sugar |
2 cups flour |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
4 -6 apples (peeled, cored, cut into thin slices) |
1/2 cup walnuts (chopped) |
Directions:
1. Beat the eggs, oil and vanilla until foamy. 2. Mix the next 5 ingredients (sugar through salt) in a separate bowl. 3. Add to egg mixture. 4. Fold in apple slices gently. 5. Spread into a 9x13 baking pan. 6. Top with nuts. 7. Bake 350°F for 40-60 minutes. |
