Did somebody say peanut butter? Another favorite for the peanut butter lovers. Enjoy! Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
a pinch of cinnamon - ( i like a big pinch) |
1 cup smooth peanut butter |
2/3 cup butter(lightly salted) |
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar |
6 large eggs |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
3/4 cup milk |
peanut butter icing(optional) |
1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. Grease and dust with floura 9 x 13 inch pan 2. Position shelf in lower third of oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. 3. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. 4. In large mixing bowl, cream peanut butter and butter 5. Slowly add the sugar beating until creamy 6. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition 7. Beat in vanilla 8. With mixer on low speed, add flour alternately with milk. 9. Start with flour, then end with flour 10. Turn batter into prepared pan 11. Bake 40 - 45 minutes or until cake tests done 12. Cool completely 13. When cool spread with your favorite peanut butter icing..... 14. Don't worry, I will post a recipe for the peanut butter icing later... 15.
