Perfect with any kind of southern food from fried chicken to cube steak. To make it a full meal add hot sausage and serve with cornbread.
Ingredients:
4 slices bacon
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 cup rice
1 (14 ounce) can tomatoes
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/3 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce
Directions:
1. Cook bacon, remove from pan and crumble.
2. Cook onion in bacon fat until tender.
3. Add rice tomatoes broth ketchup tobasco salt and pepper and crubled bacon.
4. cook on low stirring frequently until rice is done and fluffy.
