This is a great dish to be served as a side or appetizer. Enjoy Ingredients:
1/2 pound split yellow peas |
3 small button sized onions |
6 onion sprigs |
4 watercress sprigs |
2 green chilies |
1 parsley sprig |
1 teaspoon turmeric |
1 teaspoon thyme |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Soak peas in cold water for a day then drain thoroughly. 2. Chop all vegetable ingredients finely. 3. Place peas in a food processor and process to a paste. 4. Transfer to bowl then add turmeric, salt and pepper then and vegetable ingredients and mix well. 5. Heat oil in deep frying pan then when hot roll walnut sized pieces of paste and drop into hot oil. 6. Fry until golden brown then remove from oil and drain on kitchen towels. 7. Serve hot. |
