Gatearu au chocolat means chocolate cake in French, and ivore means Ivory . My auntie gave me her hand-writing recipe before I moved to England. I have tried this sometime and change a bit then now popular desert for my children! Read more ! If you like white chocolate, you should try and taste it! One more thing, please leave it over night in the fridge, it will taste better. Ingredients:
white chocolate 85g |
butter 65g |
4 egg yolk + sugar 50g |
fresh single cream 2tbs |
cointreau (orange liquor) 1 tbs |
vanilla extract |
plain flour 35g |
cornstarch 35g |
3 egg white+sugar 65g |
cocoa for dust |
Directions:
1. Set oven as 170 degree C (Gas mark 3) 2. ++++++++++++++++++ 3. Finely chopped white chocolate and butter set into double boiling until well-mixed and smooth 4. Beat all egg yolk and sugar, then put fresh cream, beat well until well-mixed. 5. Add Cointreau, vanilla and chocolate mixture, beat well 6. Sift flour and cornstarch, mixed 7. ++++++++++++++++++ 8. Make merengue with 3 egg white and 65g sugar, beat well 9. Mix both chocolate mixture and merengue well 10. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 40-45 minutes. 11. Leave it cool and dust cocoa (optional) |
