A little twist, and zest to the ordinary guacamole. Goes great with a Mexican entree, or just alone Ingredients:
1 ripe avacado( i prefer haas) but any will do |
1 small jalepeno, seeded, and finely chopped |
1 garlic clove cracked, and chopped |
1 tsp. salt |
juice of 1 lemon |
1 grind od cracked black pepper |
tortilla chips |
can add 1 small tomatoe chopped for garnish on top |
1 small onion finely chopped |
Directions:
1. Halve avacados, remove pit, and scoop flesh into a small bowl. 2. Add onions, and jalepenos 3. sprinkle chopped garlic with salt, and mash with side of knife applying pressure with palm of hand, making a paste 4. Add paste, and lemon juice, and mash contents, until fairly smooth. Scoop into serving dish, or for more of a decrotive approch, scoop into halved avacados, or tamotoes. Garnish with tomaotoe if desired, and top with a little finely chopped parsly. Arrange chips arround dip. Can easily be doubled, or tripled, and if you serve in avacado halves, you have more avacado to make more gaucamole when guests leave! |
