Garlic is my secret weapon during sick season , says Stephanie Sokolove. When I feel a cold coming on, I just throw together my dish-it's like a solid verison of chicken soup. The key is the minced garlic. Health perk: Minced garlic releases infection fighting white blood cells to shorten a cold by several days. What's more, an amino acid in chicken helps thin nasal mucus, quickly relieving congestion and pressure. I found this recipe in First magazine. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping.

1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
2 teaspoons mrs. dash italian herb seasoning
2 1/2 cups chicken stock
1 lb cooked penne pasta
1 cup peas
1/2 cup grated pecorino romano cheese
