Garlicky Chicken and Mushroom Alfredo |

This is definitely not a a low fat dish...but its so good! Ingredients:
3 chicken breasts (cut in half lengthwise to cook easier) |
salt |
1 (16 ounce) carton heavy whipping cream |
1 -2 tablespoon minced garlic |
cracked black pepper |
1 dash nutmeg |
1/2 cup butter |
grated parm cheese (to taste) |
1 cup cremini mushroom (cut in half) |
1 lb pasta, of your choice |
Directions:
1. Boil pasta. 2. salt and pepper chicken breasts. 3. grill on both sides - set aside when done covered with a tent of foil. 4. In a pan, low to med heat, melt butter and garlic. 5. Add cream, pepper and nutmeg. 6. While stirring constantly, add grated cheese, to taste - start with 1/4 cup and gradually add more to your liking. 7. Add chicken and mushrooms and serve over cooked pasta. |
