This recipe was shared by a friend and it is wonderful. I like it because it ins't 'cheesy' but rather buttery, garlicky and clammy!!! It can be made ahead and microwaved when ready to serve with lots of crusty warm bread! Ingredients:
1/4 lb butter, melted |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese |
1 medium onion, diced |
1 teaspoon oregano |
4 dashes tabasco sauce |
1 tablespoon garlic, chopped |
1/2 cup breadcrumbs |
13 ounces chopped clams, undrained |
Directions:
1. Saute onion and garlic in the butter until softened. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Heat through. Place in a casserole dish and bake in the oven at 400* for twenty minutes. This can alsobe heated in the microwave if desired. Serve with crusty French bread. 2. This recipe can be increased by four but only use 3/4 pound of butter to eliminate it being to greasy. |
