What??? Garlic in cookies??? You have to try it to believe it! Ingredients:
8 cloves fresh garlic |
boiling water |
1/2 cup maple syrup |
1 cup butter, softened |
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
3/4 cup white sugar |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 1/2 cups white chocolate chips |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Drop unpeeled garlic cloves in pan of boiling water. 2. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until softened. 3. Remove garlic, slip off skins, and soak in maple syrup for about 30 minutes. 4. Meanwhile, cream butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla with electric mixer until light and fluffy. 5. Add flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing well. 6. Drain garlic and chop it finely. 7. Add garlic, white chocolate chips, and pecans to dough, and mix well. 8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 9. Drop dough by tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet, leaving 2 inches between cookies. 10. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. 11. Cool on wire rack. |
