An easy and nice Asian side dish. Adapted from Mens Health magazine, June 2009. Serve with a spicy main dish. Ingredients:
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil or 1 1/2 teaspoons peanut oil |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 bunch fresh spinach, washed and stems removed |
1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce |
1 pinch sugar |
1 tablespoon sesame seeds |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a wok or skillet over medium high heat; add garlic and cook until lightly browned, 1 or 2 minutes. 2. Add spinach and saute, stirring, until wilted, about 5 minutes. 3. Add soy sauce and sugar, cook another minute; sprinkle with sesame seeds. |
