Greens should be viewed as a staple in anyones diet....so...it's a good thing I like them. This recipe is really tasty and a bit different. Ingredients:
2 bunches kale, trimmed and chopped |
1 tsp. olive oil |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper |
2 tsp toasted sesame oil |
2 tsp sesame seeds, toasted |
Directions:
1. In Dutch oven, bring 1 c. water to boil. 2. Add kale; cover and cook for 4 min, stirring occasionally. 3. Uncover and cook until water evaporates, about 3 min. 4. Heat olive oil in heavy skillet over medium heat. 5. Saute garlic and cayenne pepper of 1 min. 6. Add kale. 7. Cook and stir for 3 min. 8. Transfer kale to bowl. 9. Toss with sesame oil. 10. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 11. Garnish with sesame seeds. |
