This dish is easy and tasty. Ingredients:
6 cloves garlic, chopped finely |
1/2 onion, diced |
4-5 lbs. mussels, cleaned and de-bearded |
1/2 cup dry white wine |
1/4 tsp pepper |
1/4 tsp salt |
1/2 cup butter |
Directions:
1. Heat a saucepan and add butter 2. allow butter to melt and add onions 3. after about a minute add garlic, wine, pepper, salt, and cook for a few minutes 4. add mussels and cover immediately 5. when mussels open (about 2 minutes) 6. * do not cook longer than 3 minutes. if some of the mussels didn't open, thrown them away. |
