Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Turnips |

Ingredients:
2 pounds baking potatoes, peeled and cubed |
1/2 pound turnips, peeled and sliced |
8 garlic cloves, sliced |
1/4 cup 2% low-fat milk |
2 teaspoons prepared horseradish |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives |
Directions:
1. Combine the first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan; cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until very tender. Drain well, and return to pan; beat at high speed of a mixer until smooth. Add milk, horseradish, salt, nutmeg, and pepper; beat well. Sprinkle with chives. |
