5-Ingredient Fix Contest Entry. Raw garlic is very healthy for you, I've come up with a healthy recipe where garlic is the star of the show! Ingredients:
1 (24 ounce) package simply potatoes traditional mashed potatoes |
2 large garlic cloves, peeled |
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil |
1/4 teaspoon sea salt |
1/2 cup sour cream |
Directions:
1. Put olive oil, sea salt, and garlic cloves in mortar (or an aluminum or steel mixing bowl). 2. Grab a pestle and mash the raw garlic cloves with the oil and salt until you have a pureed consistency (you should not be able to see pieces of garlic, but rather, pureed). 3. Prepare the mashed potatoes as directed in the package of the Simply Potatoes . 4. Pour the oil concoction into the mash potatoes, along with the sour cream, until well blended and very creamy. 5. I would add fresh ground pepper, but I was only allowed to add four other ingredients (gotta have my fresh ground pepper!). 6. And, voilá! It's a very simple recipe packed with flavor! 7. Enjoy. |
