Cooking Light, JUNE 2000 Ingredients:
7 tablespoons ketchup, divided |
1 cup quick-cooking oats |
1/2 cup finely chopped onion |
2 tablespoons dried parsley |
1 tablespoon dried basil |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1 lb ground sirloin |
1 lb ground turkey |
2 large eggs, lightly beaten |
2 large egg whites, lightly beaten |
2 garlic cloves, minced |

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°. 2. Combine 3 tablespoons ketchup, oats, and next 10 ingredients (oats through garlic) in a large bowl; stir mixture until well-blended. 3. Shape meat mixture into a 9 x 5-inch loaf on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray; spoon 4 tablespoons ketchup over meat loaf. 4. Insert a meat thermometer into loaf. Bake at 375° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a thermometer registers 160°. 5. Let stand 10 minutes. Remove meat loaf from pan; cut into 16 slices. |
