Garlic Hasselback Potatoes With Herbed Sour Cream

I served these at a dinner party the other week, and they were a big hit. It really transforms a typical potato dish into somtething special.
Ingredients:
1lb. red new potatoes
5 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
4 tbsp butter, melted
2 tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
Directions:
1. In a small bowl combine the sour cream, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper
2. Stir to combine, refrigerate until ready to use
3. Preheat the oven to 400
4. Using a wooden spoon as a cradle, place each potato in the spoon and make several parallel slits making sure not the cut all the way through
5. Place the garlic slices into the potato slits, alternating between slits
6. Place on a baking sheet
7. Drizzle with melted butter, olive oil, salt, and pepper, toss to coat
8. Bake until the tops are crispy and cooked through, about 1 hour
9. Serve with topped with herbed sour cream
