Better Homes recipe for a nice healthy side dish ..soy is so good for you. I eat these just popped from the shell. Try it! Ingredients:
12-ounce package frozen shelled sweet soybeans (edamame) |
1 clove garlic, minced |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs or panko (japanese-style) bread crumbs |
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook edamame according to package directions; drain. 2. In a large skillet cook garlic in hot oil until tender. 3. Stir in bread crumbs, walnuts, salt, and pepper. 4. Cook and stir over medium heat about 4 minutes or until crumbs and walnuts are lightly browned and crisp. 5. Stir in edamame; heat through. |
