Excellent creamed spinach- the best! Add sauted onions if your heart so desires :) Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon minced garlic |
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour |
3/4 cup half-and-half cream |
2 (10 ounce) boxes frozen spinach, thawed |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a small saucepan. 2. Add garlic, saute 30 seconds. 3. Add flour, whisk, heat for about 1 minute. 4. Add half and half. 5. Add drained spinach and seasonings, simmer 20 minutes on medium heat until very tender. |
