The soft garlic cloves and wine sauce turn this into company fare. If a thicker sauce is desired, reduce pan liquids for 2 minutes or more. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
4 chicken breasts, skinned |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
2 heads garlic, cloves separated and peeled |
1 cup chicken stock |
1/2 cup white wine |
1/3 teaspoon thyme |
Directions:
1. Put flour and half the pepper in a bag. 2. Add chicken and shake to coat. 3. Brown chicken in oil over med high heat, remove to a plate. 4. Add garlic and remaining flour to pan. 5. Cook stirring for 2 minutes. 6. Add stock, wine, thyme and remaining pepper. 7. Bring to a boil then simmer at med low for 5 minutes. 8. Add chicken to pan, cover and cook 20 to 25 minutes until garlic is tender and chicken is done. |
