These easy to make cheese biscuits go well with casseroles, soups, stews or just as a snack Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
3 teaspoons sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup butter |
1 egg |
2/3 cup milk |
1 tbsp garlic (pureed in the jar) |
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese ( i prefer medium or old) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 2. Mix everything together leaving the cheese til last - knead well and roll out onto floured board to about 3/4 inch thick. I use a drinking glass to make the cut outs. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for about 10 min. Serve warm 3. For an extra garlic kick brush the tops before baking with melted garlic butter |
