Garlic & Basil Grilled Cheese |

A gourmet take on an old standby Ingredients:
2 slices italian bread, sliced on a diagonal |
2 slices medium cheddar |
3 leaves fresh basil, rinsed |
1 fresh garlic clove, pressed |
2 tablespoons salted butter |
1 pinch salt |
black pepper |
Directions:
1. Spread a very small amount of pressed garlic on one side of the bread. Layer the cheese and basil on top of the garlic and between the slices of bread. Add salt and pepper to taste. 2. Spread butter on the outer sides of the sandwich and place face down in a frying pan. Toast the sandwich over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Turn heat to low and cover pan until the cheese is fully melted. Serve! |
