An easy, healthy soup that actually tastes quite good. One warning though - it doesn't freeze well. Ingredients:
3/4 cup chopped cooked chicken |
1/2 cup chopped celery |
6 cups water |
2 cups tomato juice |
1 cup diced peeled potato (canned works great, but make sure to drain them) |
1 cup whole kernel corn |
1 cup cooked drained lima beans (again, canned works great, make sure to drain) |
1/2 cup sliced carrot (you guessed it, canned & drained) |
2 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a large soup pot. 2. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. 3. Reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour. |
