Nice vegetable dish,don't let the lettuce scare you off, I beleive that you will find it' good in this dish. Ingredients:
3 tablespoon butter |
1/2 cup water |
1&1/2 cup frozen peas |
2 cups finely shredded lettuce |
2 tablespoons finely diced onion |
1 tablespoon chopped parsley |
2 tablespoons finely chopped celery,(de-string) |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1/3 cup half and half,(or) canned milk( or )any light cream. |
Directions:
1. Add the onion and celery to the melted Butter and saute for a short while,Add water,Bring to boiling. 2. Add Remaining ingredients except cream. 3. Season with 1/4 teaspoon sea salt and a dash of fresh ground black Pepper. 4. Cover and simmer till peas are tender. 5. Don't drain, 6. Add Cream. |
