Cut calories and fat by using lean ground beef or ground turkey breast.
Ingredients:
10 ounces cooked pinto beans
10 ounces cooked kidney beans
8 ounces ground turkey
2 cups tomato juice
15 ounces beef broth
15 ounces tomato sauce
1 cup carrots
1 cup celery
1/2 cup onion
1 1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 cup macaroni
1/2 tsp. tabasco sauce
Directions:
1. Brown ground meat and onion in large saucepan coated with unstick spray. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, canned beans (rinsed & drained), vegetables and uncooked macaroni. Bring mixture to a boil. Add T. sauce and seasonings. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes until macaroni and vegetables are tender. Stir occasionally.
