Cut calories and fat by using lean ground beef or ground turkey breast. Ingredients:
10 ounces cooked pinto beans |
10 ounces cooked kidney beans |
8 ounces ground turkey |
2 cups tomato juice |
15 ounces beef broth |
15 ounces tomato sauce |
1 cup carrots |
1 cup celery |
1/2 cup onion |
1 1/2 tsp. basil |
1/2 tsp. garlic powder |
3/4 cup macaroni |
1/2 tsp. tabasco sauce |
Directions:
1. Brown ground meat and onion in large saucepan coated with unstick spray. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, canned beans (rinsed & drained), vegetables and uncooked macaroni. Bring mixture to a boil. Add T. sauce and seasonings. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes until macaroni and vegetables are tender. Stir occasionally. |
