Nicely seasoned fresh green beans - the perfect side dish for any meat. Ingredients:
4 cups cut fresh green beans (2-inch pieces) |
1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms |
2 tablespoons chopped onions |
1 clove garlic, minced |
2 tablespoons olive oil or 2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1/3 cup sliced water chestnuts |
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
2 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Place beans in a saucepan and cover with water; bring to a boil. 2. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until crisp-tender. 3. Meanwhile, in a skillet, saute mushrooms, onion and garlic in oil until tender. 4. Stir in water chestnuts and seasonings; heat through. 5. Drain beans and stir into skillet. 6. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. 7. Serve immediately. |
