These Potatoes are so comforting they remind me of being little at Thanksgiving and Christmas and they were all I wanted to eat. They are heavy on the fat but I will never feel bad eating these. Ingredients:
12 large potatoes |
1/2 cup salted butter |
2 bunches green onions, chopped |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
sour cream (16 ounces) |
1 (16 ounce) package sharp cheddar cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. Boil potatoes and let cool. Then peel and grate them. This is also a good time to salt and pepper them. 2. Make the Sauce: Melt the butter 3. Put chopped green onions in and cook till they are transparent. 4. Add can of chicken soup. 5. Add the whole thing of sour cream. 6. Add the cheese 1/3 at a time and stir until it's all melted. 7. Layer Potatoes half down and then the sauce then the other half down and the rest of the sauce. 8. Cook at 350 for 30 minute. |
