Ingredients:
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate |
1 cup butter |
2 cups sugar |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 eggs, lightly beaten |
3 cups flaked coconut |
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon almond extract |
1 cup chocolate chips (6 oz) |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan over low heat,melt chocolate and butter. 2. Remove from heat and cool slightly. 3. Stir in the sugar,flour,salt,vanilla and eggs,mix well. 4. Spread half the batter into a 13x9x2 inch baking pan. 5. In a bowl combine the filling ingredients. 6. Spoon over chocolate layer. 7. Carefully spread remaining chocolate mixture over filling. 8. Bake at 350°F for 35-40 minutes or until the sides pull away from the pan. 9. Allow chips to soften for a few minutes,then spread over bars. 10. Sprinkle with walnuts. 11. Cool completely before cutting. |
