From Rich and Gooey Dessert Sensations Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa |
2/3 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
1/4 cup granulated sugar |
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa |
1 cup water |
1 cup natural applesauce |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Spray an 8x8x2-inch baking pan with cooking spray. 3. In medium size bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, 2 tablespoons cocoa and 2./3 cup granulated sugar. 4. Add milk and vanilla. Mix well. Spread into prepared pan. 5. In small bowl combine brown sugar, 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over batter. 6. Add apple sauce to water in saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil. Pour over batter. Do not stir into batter. 7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve immediately with ice cream. |
