This creamy sauce tastes delicious over strawberries, poached pears, or cake. Or try it with any of your favorites. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter or stick margarine |
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate |
1/2 cup sugar |
6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa |
1 cup dark corn syrup |
1/2 cup fat-free milk |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Combine butter and chocolate in a small saucepan; cook over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring occasionally. Combine sugar and cocoa in a medium bowl; add corn syrup and milk, stirring with a whisk until well-blended. Add cocoa mixture to saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. |
