Fast and easy basic chocolate fudge cake. This recipe came from a church ladies cookbook of Maine. Ingredients:
2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate |
1/4 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
2 unbeaten eggs |
1/2 cup flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup chopped nuts |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Melt chocolate in double boiler with the butter until melted. 2. Add sugar; mix well. 3. Add eggs, one at a time until blended. 4. Add all dry ingredients, nuts and vanilla. 5. Pour into a well-greased and floured pan, 9x9-inch. 6. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 30 minutes. 7. Ice with your favorite icing. |
