Put down that box of hamburger helper! Step away from the Rice A Roni. This meal is quick, easy, and super tasty. A refreshingly light beef and rice combo. Ingredients:
1 cup diced beef stew meat |
1/2 cup long grain rice |
1 carrot |
1 single stalk celery |
2 cups water |
1/2 tsp garlic powder |
dash cayene pepper |
1 tblspoon chili oil |
salt and pepper to taste |
your favorite steak seasoning |
Directions:
1. Warm pan and pour in chili oil 2. Braise diced beef stew meat in skillet 3. Remove meat from pan when done 4. add 1/2 cup water to pan turn up the heat to bring to light boil 5. add carrots and celery 6. cook for 5 minutes before adding the rest of the water 7. Now, combine all ingredients including rice, meat, and salt and pepper to taste. 8. Cook at medium heat for 10 minutes. Do not cover the pan. there will be no liquid left in the pan, so you have to stay with it. I sprinkled a little habenero sauce on mine to give it a bit more kick! So Yummy! |
