Fry bread recipe that I first made for my daughter's class. It also makes a great snack to satisfy the craving for fried donuts without the guilt. Except for the frying part LOL Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 tsp salt |
3 tsp baking powder |
1 cup water |
Directions:
1. Mix ingredients and let sit for 10-15 minutes. 2. Break off a ball of dough about the size of a golf ball and pat out no thicker than 1/4 inch. 3. Fry in hot oil until golden brown, turn once to brown both sides. 4. Drain. 5. Drizzle honey or sugar over fry bread or eat with soup or stews. |
