Best cranberry sauce ever! A combination of dried fruits and nuts pushes it over the top. Ingredients:
1 cup water |
1 cup sugar |
1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries |
1 orange, chopped |
1 apple, peeled & chopped |
1 cup dried fruit (apricots, peaches and pineapple combo works best) |
1/2 cup pecans, chopped |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ginger |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, boil water and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Reduce the heat to simmer, and stir in remaining ingredients. 2. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst. 3. Remove from heat, and let cool. 4. Place in jars and refrigerate. |
