Fruited Turkey on Biscuits |

I haven't tried this yet, but it looks interesting. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine |
1/2 lb ground turkey |
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese |
1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage |
1/2 teaspoon fennel seed |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 medium apple, chopped |
3/4 cup v8 vegetable juice |
1/4 cup raisins |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
4 biscuits |
Directions:
1. Brown ground turkey in butter in skillet, along with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, fennel seed, salt and pepper. 2. Break up turkey while cooking. 3. Add apple and onion. 4. Stir and cook until tender. 5. Stir in V8 juice, cinnamon, and raisins. 6. Cook until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. 7. Serve on split biscuits. |
