This is a different combo for a cheese ball... Ingredients:
1 package cream cheese softened (8oz) |
3 oz swiss cheese, shredded |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 cup apple, finely chopped |
1 cup mixed dried fruits, finely chopped (raisins, dates, apricots, peaches) |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1/3 to 1/2 cup nuts, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons parsley finely chopped |
Directions:
1. Cream cheese and nutmeg. 2. Toss fruits with lemon juice. 3. Stir into cheeses and chill to slightly firm. 4. Shape into a ball. 5. Combine nuts and parsley. 6. Roll ball in this mixture. 7. Store in refrigerator. 8. Allow to soften to room temp before serving with crackers. |
