My daughters (8 and 6 years) have been experimenting with different smoothies and this is their favorite 'potion'. Any fruit can be used in place of the strawberries. The flaxseed meal adds a nice crunch and is also a great substitute for fish in the daily diet as it carries same benefits. It is tasteless and can be added to many different kinds of foods (cereal, yoghurt, smoothies, meat sauces etc) Ingredients:
3/4 cup strawberry yogurt |
3 tablespoons honey |
1 tablespoon flax seed meal |
4 strawberries, large, frozen |
1 banana, large |
3/4 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Add everything in a blender and you are done. |
