Lovely recipe Mom gave me - must put it somewhere safe or I'll loose the scrap of paper it's writrten on Ingredients:
8 ounces margarine |
8 ounces caster sugar |
4 eggs, lightly beaten |
1 teaspoon almond essence |
10 ounces self raising flour |
4 ounces dried fruit |
2 ounces sliced almonds |
1 ounce cherries |
Directions:
1. Cream margarine and sugar then gradually add in the eggs. 2. Fold in remaining ingredients, pour into loaf tin and bake at 350F for 1 hour. |
