I was watching a tv program from British Columbia one day , and a Hawaiian chef made this to go on fresh sliced strawberries, or bananas or ice cream. It is a very delicious topping, and I know that it is online under other forums, but I decided to post it here anyway.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup whipping cream
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
200 g crushed heath chocolate candy bars or 200 g skor candy bars
fresh strawberries or banana
sour cream
Directions:
1. Heat the whipping cream, add in the sugar, butter, and corn syrup.
2. Mix well over low heat, and simmer about two or three minutes making sure the sugar is dissolved well.
3. Add in the crushed bars, stir until melted, and remove from heat.
4. Cool to room temperature.
5. Pour into a nice pouring decanter.
6. Slice fresh strawberries into a small individual serving dishes and pour the sauce over , then another layer of berries.
7. Dollap with some fresh dairy sour cream.
8. Then a drizzle of more sauce.
9. You can use fresh sliced bananas also with the sauce, or pour over a nice homemade icecre.
10. This recipe takes 5 - 39 gram individual heath or skor bars which is 200 grams total Heath bar is buttered toffee bar coated with milk chocolate.
