This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Crawford Estate in Quinlan, Texas in 1982. Notation on card indicates this came from “Aunt Sally” and dated 1946. Ingredients:
2 cups diced mixed fresh fruit |
2 cups finely cubed enriched bread |
3 tablespoons sugar |
2 tablespoons melted butter |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Arrange fruits in baking dish. 2. Mix bread, sugar, melted butter and cinnamon then place on fruit. 3. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until bread is brown and crisp. |
