1 1/2 cups golden raisins |
1 cup sherry |
2 cups peeled, chopped apple |
1 cup finely chopped onion |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1/2 cup butter or margarine |
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1/8 teaspoon ground mace |
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon dried whole thyme |
1/8 teaspoon dried whole chervil |
1/8 teaspoon dried whole rosemary, crushed |
2 cups toasted seasoned breadcrumbs |
Directions:
1. Combine raisins and sherry. Let stand 2 hours. 2. Sauté apple, onion, and garlic in butter in a medium skillet until tender. Add raisins and sherry, parsley, lemon juice, and spices; simmer 10 minutes. Stir in breadcrumbs, tossing well. |
