This cake was always present at church socials, and 'coffee and cake' visits. Easy, and tasty. Ingredients:

1 1/2 c. sugar |
1 #2 can fruit cocktail |
2 cups flour |
1 tsp. salt |
2 tsp. soda |
2 eggs |
first topping |
1/4 c. brown sugar |
1/2 c. coconut |
second topping |
1/2 c. chopped pecans |
1/2 c. coconut |
boiled topping |
1/2 c. evaporated milk |
3/4 c. sugar |
1 stick butter or margarine |
boil together for 10 minutes. |
Directions:
1. Mix all cake ingredients together, sprinkle with first topping, and bake in a 9x13 pan at 300 degrees for an hour. 2. Remove from oven, and sprinkle with combined pecans and coconut. Pour boiled topping over entire cake. |
