A different salad for your BBQ, I got the recipe from a Kingergarden fundraiser lunch and loved it at first bite. Haven't actually made the recipe yet but just thought I'd add it on while I had the recipe handy. Ingredients:
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
salt and pepper |
1 cup diced carrot |
1 cup pineapple chunk |
4 cups cooked brown rice |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1/2 cup cream |
1 tablespoon curry powder |
1/2 cup walnuts |
1 medium apple, diced |
1/2 cup raisins |
1 1/2 cups diced oranges |
1 cup grapes |
1/2 cup sunflower seeds |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except walnuts and sunflower seeds. 2. Chill overnight. 3. Add walnuts and sunflower seeds just before serving. |
