The butter mints give this fruit salad a unique flavor - very refreshing on a hot summer's day. The key to the flavor of this dish is to use REAL butter mints. Regular pastel mints just do not work in this. It's difficult to find the true buuter mints, but only use them in this salad! Read more ! Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained |
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained |
1 (3 ounce) box lime jell-o |
1 cup butter mints, crushed (do not substitute) |
31/2 cups miniature marshmallows |
1 (8 ounce) container cool whip |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine undrained fruit, dry jell-o mix, mints and marshmallows, 2. Cover bowl and refrigerate until marshmallows begin to dissolve. 3. Fold in Cool Whip. 4. Pour mixture into 9x13. 5. Cover pan and freeze for at least 6 hours. 6. Let set at room temperature at least 15 minutes before serving |
