This recipe is from Elizabeth Benaka, from the cookbook Heritage of Cooking A Collection of Recipes from East Perry County, Missouri. Ingredients:
1 cup evaporated milk |
3 egg yolks |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup sugar |
1/4 lb oleo |
Directions:
1. Combine in sauce pan and cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens (about 12 minutes). 2. Add 1 cup each nuts and cocoanut and beat until cool and thick enough to spread. 3. Look for the Clabber Cake Clabber Cake. |
