This is from TOH magazine. Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
1 cup brown sugar |
1 egg yolk |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 cups flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
6 1/4 ounces chocolate candy bars, broken into rectangles |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Add egg yolk and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour and salt. Add to creamed mixture. 2. Press into a 15 by 10 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. 3. Immediately place candy bar pieces over crust. Let stand for 1 minute, or until softened; spread evenly. Sprinkle with walnuts. Cool and cut into squares. |
