Frosted Pecan Bites

Highly Addictive. Make a double batch because you'll eat them all before serving.
Ingredients:
1 lb pecan halves
1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 pinch salt
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
2. Toast pecans for 10-15 or until lightly toasted.
3. Watch carefully, burns easily.
4. Fold sugar, salt and pecans into egg whites.
5. Increase oven temperature to 325 degrees.
6. Melt butter on a sheet pan.
7. Spread the nut mixture over pan and bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
8. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
