A very nice salad to take to a carry-in or gathering. Ingredients:
2-3 bananas |
1 can crushed pineapple (drain and save juice) |
2 cups small marshmallows |
1 pkg. orange jell-o |
1 pkg. lemon jell-o |
topping |
2 tbsp. flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 tbsp. butter |
1 egg |
1 cup pineapple juice |
small container cool whip |
Directions:
1. In a bowl dissolve jellos together in 2 cups boiling water. 2. Add 1 1/2 cups cold water. 3. Stir in bananas, pineapple and marshmallows. 4. Pour into a 9x13-in pan and let set overnight. 5. Next day prepare topping. 6. In a pan add flour, sugar, butter, egg and pineapple juice. 7. Cook until thickened. 8. Remove from heat and cool. 9. Fold in a small container of Cool Whip and spread on top of the fruit salad. 10. Refrigerate until ready to serve. |
